The building was a beautiful blank canvas and the main goal was to make the most of the internal space. Meeting rooms, desks and enough workspace, private offices, kitchen, lunch area and events area were some of the requirements.
Apart from the practical requirements, the brief also included additional guidelines in terms of colour schemes and preferences. The brand’s main colours were orange and blue, and the interior design had to reflect those tones in an elegant and coherent way.
The building consisted of three floors and main areas to distribute the necessities of the office: On the lower floor, the entrance and waiting area, kitchen and lunch space and some of the meeting rooms. The first floor contained h the main workspace area and some private offices and the second floor with the events room and terrace.
“We design bespoke solutions to make the most of every office and commercial space.”
It was important that the different areas were well connected and accessible. At the same time, it was crucial to divide areas to offer privacy. The layout needed to be practical and comfortable for daily use. Also, maximising the light and the feeling of big rooms was a must. Therefore, we decided to install glass dividers for the different private offices and meeting rooms. We designed glass vinyls with the office’s logo to increase the sense of privacy in the rooms.
The workspace consisted mainly of desks but the office also required high tables to be able to work standing or seating on high stools.
We decided to utilise a narrow space for this purpose, between desks and a private office. All tables included hidden wiring and fittings for easy plugging to maximise the comfort and tidiness of the area.
The orange accent colour is shown in some of the stools while keeping the rest in grey to create a neutral and calm environment. The black tables and stools legs along with the black frames add contrast to the colour scheme, accentuating the neutrality of the rest of the colours of the office.
The top floor was designed as a flexible space. The brief was to achieve a meeting room that was also easily transformed into an events space.
“We enhanced this floor with simple and practical solutions.”
A large table in the middle of the room with comfortable and elegant chairs was the main element of this part of the office. The colours of the chairs were in harmony with the surroundings of the building as we wanted to enhance the views of the city.
We included a seating space that could be combined with the rest of the furniture in case of events.
While designing a flexible space we have to think about the possibilities of the room and the necessities of our clients. We mixed all the requirements and propose practical solutions that work aesthetically as well as functionally.
Apart from the open plan workspace with desks and the large flexible area, the office had the need for everyday meeting rooms.
These meeting rooms needed to be practical, easy to access and, of course, private. At the same time, the clients wanted to have the rooms connected and the light flow from one to another was a must.
We designed glass partitions with black frames. The rooms feel bigger and airier this way and the entire floor feels connected. In addition, we installed window pieces of vinyl to add privacy so you could not fully see between rooms.
The meeting rooms were designed with simple and practical concepts. Following the same scheme as in the rest of the building, natural materials such as wood were used for the tables and furniture.
“Minimal rooms to stimulate the workflow and focus on the important”
We added colours with decorative elements as frames and art, so the corporative red and blue were combined with black and grey from the furniture.
“Natural materials combined with practical solutions for a neutral and productive workspace“
